*Note: This was originally posted in late August, so I’ve updated the post to include the month we’re actually shipping this fab collection and new inspiration that has been shared on IG since I originally gathered it up in August!
It’s officially fall here in Montana – and we’re already headed to Quilt Market again next weekend! Yip yip!
If you’re not familiar with Jen yet, according the to C+S webite, she “is a printmaker, surface designer, textile artist and teacher living in San Francisco with her dog Gus. A lifelong Californian, Jen combines her love of bold prints and saturated colors with the textures and light of California landscapes to create highly tactile, visually layered, printed textiles. Jen’s first book, Print, Pattern, Sew: Block Printing Basics + Simple Sewing Projects for an Inspired Wardrobe, will be published by Roost Books in May 2018. For her first-ever fabric collection, Jen drew inspiration from her daily walks in and around Golden Gate Park, simplifying the surrounding flora and landscapes into quirky, geometric shapes. A printmaker by training, Jen began her design process for this collection by hand printing with the collection of blocks she’s carved over the years, playing with layout and color as she worked.”
As this collection gets into #culcitacrew hands – as well as other quilters’ – be sure to check out the #imaginedlandscapesfabric hashtag on Instagram for more inspiration. As you’ll see, there isn’t a lot yet, but there is sure to be soon!
Don’t forget to tag your makes with #culcitabox and #culcitacrew tags (and @culcitabox) when you post them too – and feel free to comment below and add them here too! You could just end up with a free box for it.
